How the recommendation is made
The logic is the same one we use on the phone. Frequent repositioning points to an electric bed. Daily transfers point to a hi-lo frame. A short recovery with a tight budget points to the cheapest crank bed that still does the job. A ward points to ICU equipment. If the patient cannot turn without help, a ripple mattress is added regardless of the frame.
