Quick answer: Karen deliveries run the same day when the order is confirmed before 2pm. Most are home care setups: a bed, a mattress and sometimes a locker, assembled in the room with the caregiver trained before the team leaves.
Gate and compound instructions
Give us the gate reference and a contact who will answer the phone at the gate. Karen compounds are set back from the road and a driver holding a bed at a closed gate is a wasted hour for everybody.
Typical Karen order
The 3-function electric bed with a ripple mattress, KSh 126,000 together, usually for a parent being cared for at home with a private nurse or a home care agency. We work with the nurse's specification rather than upselling the family. See home care agencies.
Working with a private nurse
Many Karen setups involve a private nurse or a live-in carer. If the nurse has specified a bed height, a mattress type or side rails, tell us that specification and we supply exactly it. We do not talk families into a bigger bed than the nurse asked for, and if the nurse's request is not something we stock we will say so rather than substitute quietly.
Long driveways and stairs
Karen houses often mean a long walk from the gate and sometimes a staircase to a first-floor bedroom. Two things help: tell us if there are stairs, and clear the route before the team arrives. A 2.1 metre frame with the boards off goes up most staircases, but not while a dining table is on the landing.
